As a proud owner of a 24' Intel iMac, I've been enjoying its sleek design and impressive display quality since May last year. However, in recent weeks, I've noticed something peculiar - a faint image persistence on my screen, specifically the vertical bars where my browser window used to be when left open for hours.

At first, I thought it was just a one-off issue, but as I continued to observe my screen behavior, I realized that this phenomenon wasn't isolated. The problem seemed to occur whenever I kept my desktop background active for extended periods, resulting in faint images or shadows being etched onto the screen.
